The Restorative Justice 101 Training is co-sponsored by Seward Longfellow Restorative Justice and the Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute.

Early Tuition: $150

Optional CEs/CLEs: $35
RJ 101 teaches the principles, philosophies, and practices of Restorative Justice via lecture and experiential education methodologies for empowering our communities.
Professionals, paraprofessionals, and laypersons are welcome to attend.

RJ 101 Training Objectives:
Learn the history and philosophy and principles of restorative justice and restorative practices.
Apply a restorative lens to work with those who have been harmed, those who have harmed, and the community.
Experience a simulated interactive restorative justice conference.
Explore applications for restorative justice practices at home, work, school, and in the community.

Michele facilitates restorative conferences with youth. She also facilitates victim offender dialogues in crimes of severe violence with the Minnesota Dept. of Corrections.

Founder & Executive Director / Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute
Clinical Neuropsychologist & Forensic Psychology Examiner / Minnesota and Wisconsin
Donna teaches Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience—The STAR Training integrating restorative justice, trauma healing and resilience, nonviolent conflict transformation and broadly-defined spirituality.

RJ 101 has been approved for 6.5 hours of continuing education (CEs) for Social Workers, LMFT, LPCCs, LPCs, LADCs, Psychologists, Nurses, and Teachers for an additional $35. 5.5 hrs of standard CLEs are available for Attorneys. Tuition includes training course materials, beverages, and snacks. Bring your lunch or lunch is available for purchase at nearby restaurants.

Scholarship assistance is available for Minnesotans who have the interest and time but do not have the financial resources for the full RJ 101 tuition. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for a RJ 101 scholarship application.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds for this training, less a $30 administrative fee, will be given if written cancellation is received from the registrant by 10 days prior to this training. No tuition refund is offered after 10 days prior to the training. Transfer of tuition to another RJ 101 or another Peacebuilding training in Minnesota is granted if written request is received 24 hours before the first day of this training. Refunds or transfers are not available for no-shows.

This training is available by contract arrangement by organizations, community groups, and corporations.
