 Mexico borderlands intersecting her own Tohono O’odham Nation. Nellie has 
 witnessed the increased militarization of her border community\, Ajo\, Ari
 zona\, and dedicates her work to migrant justice & protection of indigenou
 s peoples’ rights\, the land and wildlife. Her 2017 experience in Occupied
  Palestine echoed the cruel nature of walls and checkpoints to oppress and
