DESCRIPTION:The Iraqi and American Reconciliation Project is honored to pre
 sent to you an exhibition exploring homemaking and memories in the portrai
 ts of Iraqi Minnesotans by Iraqi Minnesotan photographers Ahmed Alshaikhli
  and Jaafar Alnabi. Curated by the CarryOn Homes collective. These portrai
 ts and stories give us a complex and intimate portrayal of what home was\,
  is\, and what it can be. In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic\, a virtual ex
 hibition\, including a 3-D walkthrough\, is available.\n\nWe want to invit
 e you to an outdoor socially distanced opening day reception October 10\, 
 1-4 PM.  We are celebrating our community with individually wrapped Iraqi 
 sweets\, cardamom tea service\, and live Iraqi music! Thanks to members of
  our Iraqi community we will also have an Ice-cream truck on site and pack
 aged Iraqi food will be available for sale. \n\nWe want our community to c
 elebrate safely! In order to ensure we are keeping you safe we are taking 
 the following COVID-19 precautions. The BLCA is limiting visitor capacity 
 in the building to 25% and taking extra sanitization precautions in the ga
 lleries. Seating outside will be made available at least six feet apart. A
 ll refreshments served will be individually wrapped and sanitized. The gal
 lery is a touch free space. Masks are required. If you cannot attend in pe
 rson we will facebook live stream live remarks  and take you through a sho
