.S. administrations have had a continuing decline of relations with the Ir
anian government\, culminating in current open hostilities between the two
states.&nbsp\;In this talk\, Professor Beeman will explain how we have co
me to this point\, and what the United States might do to ameliorate this
situation.\nWilliam O. Beeman is Professor of Anthropology at the Universi

DESCRIPTION:Four Indigenous environmental leaders embark on an extraordinar
y trans-continental adventure from the Boreal forest to deep into the hear
t of the Amazonian jungle to unite the peoples of North and South America
and deepen the meaning of “Climate Justice.” “The Condor &amp\; The Eagle”
offers a glimpse into a developing spiritual renaissance as the four prot
agonists learn from each other’s long legacy of resistance to colonialism
and its extractive economy. Their path through the jungle takes them on an
unexpectedly challenging and liberating journey\, which will forever chan

DESCRIPTION:In 1999\, WAMM’s End War Committee partnered with other local a
ctivist groups to initiate a weekly vigil on the Lake Street and Marshal A
venue bridge in St.Paul. Originally in response to the U.S. and NATO bombi
ngs in Yugoslavia\, the vigil has continued weekly with different U.S. san

years—rain\, shine or below zero temps—activists in the Twin Cities have g

ry on March 5th to commemorate the 13th anniversary of the bombing of Al-M

ists and writers\, reminding us of what they face. But the readings also c
elebrate the values that Al-Mutanabbi Street holds: free speech\, the free
